How we handle personal information

This policy explains how LAIMEX Energy Solutions Ltd collects and uses information when you visit our website, submit an enquiry or communicate with us.

LAIMEX Energy Solutions Ltd is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Questions or requests can be sent to info@laimexenergy.com.

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:

  • Contact information: name, business email address and telephone number.
  • Business and project information: organisation, project or site location, gas pathway, project stage, project title, available documents, support required and the requirement or current challenge you describe.
  • Communications: emails, responses, proposals and related correspondence arising from your enquiry.
  • Website usage information: pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser information, referring source and basic interaction data, but only when optional analytics is accepted.
  • Consent preference: the analytics choice stored on your device so the website can remember it.

Please do not submit passwords, payment-card information or unnecessary sensitive personal information through the enquiry form.

We do not sell personal information and do not use website enquiries for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Cookies, local storage and Google Analytics

The website uses necessary device storage to remember your analytics choice. If you select Accept analytics, Google Analytics may place or read analytics identifiers and receive limited website-usage information. Analytics does not load when you decline.

Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation are disabled. We do not send your name, email address, telephone number, project title or enquiry description to Google Analytics. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.

5. Service providers and disclosures

Information may be handled by carefully selected providers that support our website and communications, including:

  • website hosting, security and technical infrastructure providers;
  • Resend, which transmits website enquiry emails;
  • Zoho Mail, where enquiries and related business correspondence are received and retained; and
  • Google Analytics, only after analytics consent is granted.

We may also disclose information where legally required, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a genuine corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

Some providers may process information outside Nigeria. Where an international transfer occurs, we use the service subject to applicable contractual, organisational and legal safeguards.

6. Retention and security

Enquiry and correspondence records are kept only for as long as reasonably required to respond, assess a potential engagement, maintain business records and meet legal obligations. Unsuccessful or inactive enquiries are normally reviewed for deletion after 24 months unless there is a valid reason to retain them. Records connected to an active contract may be kept for the contract period and any applicable legal or claims period.

Google Analytics data will be configured with a limited retention period. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Your data-protection rights

Subject to applicable law and relevant exceptions, you may request:

  • information about and access to your personal data;
  • correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • deletion, restriction or objection to certain processing;
  • withdrawal of consent for future analytics processing;
  • data portability where applicable; and
  • information about safeguards used for relevant international transfers.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. We may need to verify your identity before completing a rights request.

8. Children and policy updates

This website is intended for business and professional audiences and is not directed to children. We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The effective date above will identify the latest version.
